Life in the Pax Romana of the modern era

does not typically involve flowers

surprisingly

short on time busy building and inventing

gizmos (a word coined in 1942)

and other things

like families and outfits, nice affairs

arranged for a still life with a quiet mind

of consuming, laughing and eating comely chocolate candies,

the likes of which the world shall never again

indulge in - the era when we worked together

and measured progress by the rate of rotation in revolutions

of culture and conquest of the past

thoughts considered to be but floccinaucinihilipilification

and the future to be filled with loud clashes

of words that mean what we say
